Thanks to Go Pro Cameras today is ridicoulously easy to film ourselves while doing some kind of activities, above all sport. From Snowboarding, Skateboarding to Parachuting actually we can film everything and sometimes happens that something new, interesting and unexpected occurs during our performances and with our Go Pro Camera we can catch this moment turning our footage into something new, adding some taste to it.
That’s exactly the case of a video appeared on Man of Water, a Youtube channel created by a surfer that use to film himself, as many others do, while surfing or bodyboarding. Along with that he makes also professional videos on other surfers and collect them all together creating and editing in a certain way one single video. His editing work is really appreciated and his videos have always thousands of views.
So in one of his “raw footage”on 27th february, as usually he starts to film himself when he is still on the beach, then he get in the water with the surfboard in his hand. And so he begins to surf. Sometimes he manages to surf the small waves and sometimes he falls down. There is no way to understand where is the place showed in the video but it seems to be not one of the surfer’s paradises. The sea is very calm and there just a couple of surfers around him.
At a certain point, in the middle of the video he suddenly moves with the surfboard toward a pier.

The first question that immediately pops up is “where is he going”? And that’s a good question because of course surfing near the pier is absolutely a bad idea. After few seconds under the pier near one of the pylons we can see a shadow moving and then we can recognize a big bird, probably a seagull that moves his wings but without flying. He seems somehow stucked.
When the surfer is finally near to the bird we can spot a long thread that starts from the pylon and goes all around the leg of the poor seagull preventing him to fly. So the surfer, acting like a Greenpeace volounteer, try to remove with his hands this thread and after the second attempt he manages to free the bird that now can move away from the damned pylon. The surfer comments the episode with another one near him and then goes back to his activities.
At the end of the video he shows up a small wound on his finger probably caused by the attempt of cutting of the thread.

This was a really nice episode that added something special and i would say also some emotion to an otherwise just normal footage.
Thank you Man of Water! and as one of the viewer commented: “Nature wil pay you back for this good action!”
