The Hopper Barges, lying approximately 140 metres from the Saurian. A regular fishing spot, and less frequently dived by individuals, clubs and occasional charter.
A lovely dive and similar to the Glenelg Hopper Barge. General hazards include overhead environment, cables, old fishing line and rusted surfaces – oh and of course certain marine life.
A dive well worth it if not done before.

That looks eerie, i dont think i would do it. I’d be too paranoid of certain marine life!!!
+Greg Whitbread This site is not dived as much as the dredge and barge of glenelg, or the seawolf and lumb which is closer to Port Noarlunga, however, they are a great dive. There are 2 of these barges close together, and then the Saurian Barge, which is the bigger of the three and is not far away. The lad that is in the video is wearing a shark shield, which, in theory, might assist in keeping certain marine life at a close but safe distance if they pop in on the dive. Hope you enjoyed it. All the best.
Thanks for all of your great footage 🙂
+Slow Diver Thanks for the kind comment. I love getting out to explore and capture
