Potbelly Seahorses(Hippocampus abdominalis) are common in Port Phillip Bay Melbourne.
Its however rare to see the actual courtship and eggs transfer by the female to the males pouch. Even rarer is to see the birth of a Seahorse in its natural habitat. Note: To use this video in a commercial player or in broadcasts, please e mail

Fantastic observations and footage
I really appreciate you getting this footage and taking the time to upload it. Thank You.
this is amazing … some of the footage you have is incredible…
Liked, but the noise of the camera clicking and clicking, made me not enjoy the video. Nice try though
Wow pang!I havenlt seen this captured before in the wild. Only in tanks. Actually capturing this in the wild is mind blowing. Do you have gills? 😉 Well done!
AS always it about being in the right place at the right time. At the time I didn’t believe it was about to happen,as normally the animals get spooked and then go in opposite directions .
Awesome sharing here ! 5thumbs up high 🙂
well kinda ruined it when u ended on how the baby sea horses could die by jellyfish XD zap zap!
the camera is too loud
