The SS Bonnie Dundee was a coastal steamer servicing the East Coast of NSW when on the night of March 10, 1879 she went abreast to the oncoming SS Barrabool which was steaming South.
There was loss of life on this coastal steamer, with the women passengers and a cabin boy not making it.
The wreck lies in some 34 to 36 metres of water, and is a comfortable dive. However, need to be mindful of currents.
There are charter operators that service divers to many of the wrecks that lie off the central coast of NSW.
