If your weekend dawned sunny, and you want to have fun in the water but you don’t have the opportunity to travel. A Cable Park is what you need, there are many around the world, its proliferation has allowed to extend this sport and make it cheaper and accessible, and the experience is as fun as in the sea. Whether it’s Surfing or Wakeskating, you’ll have fun!!
The cable parks are facilities that allow wakeboarding, wakeskate or water skiing without the need of a boat. For this, cables are used that pull the riders between the different towers that support the installation. They are accessible for all levels of experience.
Many Cable Parks, have had the collaboration of professional Wakeboarders and Wakeskaters for the design and construction of their facilities, which guarantees a more “natural” and safe experience. Whether you are a beginner or expert rider, a Wakeskater or wakeboard, it does not matter, the Cable Parks are designed for everyone.
The length of the route can vary significantly and reach up to 700 meters or more, with a height of the pulley greater than six meters. In recent years it has been adding different types of obstacles or modules that allow to execute a wide variety of tricks and figures: kickers, rails, pipes. The equipment is slightly different from the one used with a boat, so we recommend you ask at your wakeboard shop.
Whether you want to start at the very beginning learning the basics, or work on your first jumps, flat tricks, and spins, or learn how to hit a slider, rail, kicker, or fun box. In general, any Cable Parks Offers specifically tailored training to each individual, at any skill level and any age!
Those who want to get out on the water and wakeboard don’t need a boat to do it, like this Wakeskating session at this lake in Seffner. McCormick’s Cable Park was built in 2008, though the plans have been in the works for it for decades. The park is part of McCormick’s Ski School, which has been in Seffner since 1954.
The park uses an automated tower cable system that pulls wakeboarders along and allows them to get out there and enjoy the water. The cable system allows riders to ride all day long if they want to, without a boat. For those less experienced, they can take advantage of lessons, which include gear, one-on-one instruction, and riding after the lesson.
This system allows both beginners and experienced skiers to develop these activities without all the inconveniences that the use of a boat brings. Users will not only have an unforgettable experience full of adrenaline, but also totally ecological, since the system has a much lower environmental impact than a motor-driven boat.
Between the cable park and the ski school, you are sure to find an activity that is right for you whether you are an anxious beginner or a seasoned professional. It makes learning Wakeskate easier for beginner riders!
