Wreck of the Degei

Built in 1940, the fishing trawler the Degei (pronounced locally as Deegee) whilst steaming out of Boston Bay, Port Lincoln in 1974 ran smack bang into the Western Side of Donnington Island. Now lying in some 11 metres of water the Degei makes for a beautiful dive. Rich in life with Invertebrates and other marine life including Boarfish, Blue Devils, Blue Groper and many more
